Deals from Walgreens and New Coupon discussion 05/17/09

This coupon is for a dollar off Carl's Jr orange cream shake

This coupon is for $4 off 2 Olive Garden Dinners

If you can wait until Wednesday to stock up on pop, ribs, and other picnic type stuff, I believe there should be awesome sales for Memorial Day. I'm wishing and have hope that Pepsi will be around $2 a 12 pack. It's possible, we'll see. This will also probably be a good time to get out all your ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, relish and pickle coupons out. There will most likely be good sales on those items.

There were $1/1 Hefty One Zip bags in this Sunday Denver paper. I found the 17 count bags for $1 on rollback so they were FREE. But go to the South side, I bought all 5 from the north side.

Also at Walmart, use the $1/1 Baglefull from Kraftfoods.com to get them for $0.88
Use the $1/3 jello from Kraftfoods.com they will be $0.17 each

Don't forget to go to Albertson's/Grocery Warehouse and get some chicken for $.77lb. This includes split chicken breasts. (This is my favorite for barbecued chicken) This sale will end on Tuesday night so you got 2 days.

The best coupons to clip and save from this Sunday:

1)Wishbone dressing (will be free) eventually

2)$1 off two Oscar myers hot dogs. There is a coupon from the Safeway insert that you could use together with this and get 2 packs of hot dogs for $0.99.

3)Print two Total toothpaste coupons for a sale at Walgreen's next week for free toothpaste here and gather any Speed stick coupons you have for FREE deodorant next week. This is of course if you have RR's from this weeks sales. Otherwise you have to spend a little money to start.

4)The Mrs Dash coupons are actually for $$'s off of meat when you buy cheese or Mrs Dash. If you have two coupon sets, you can use 2 $0.50 off Mrs Dash coupons and the $1 off meat coupons together. If you go to King Soopers or Safeway the $0.50 will double to $1. So I don't know how much Mrs Dash is but I will be checking.

Walgreens Scenario:

Remember, for this scenario I am starting it out like you have $0 in Register Rewards. If you are starting with Register Rewards from last week, then your out of pocket cost would be lower.

Transaction #1:
Buy Right Guard Professional Deodorant - $5.99
Use $1/1 coupon
Pay $4.99 out of pocket
Get $5 RRs back

Transaction #2:
Buy Colgate Visible White toothpaste - $4.99
Buy Skintimate or Edge Shave Gel - $1.99
Buy 4 Kraft Macaroni and Cheese - 69¢ each with in-ad coupon (I have to check if this was in Pueblo's Paper or Not?)
Use $1/1 toothpaste coupon
Use 75¢/1 Skintimate or Edge coupon
Use B3G1 Mac & cheese coupon (will take off $1.59 if you scan it before the in-ad coupon)

Pay with $5 RRs from Transaction #1
Pay $2.30 = tax out of pocket
Get $6 RRs back (a $5 RR and a $1 RR)

Transaction #3:
Buy TWO OFF! Clip-on Mosquito Protection - $8.99 each
Buy 2 cheap filler items (candy, pencil, school folders, etc... - school folders have been on clearance for 25¢ at my store)
Use $3/1 OFF! coupon
Use B1G1 coupon
Pay with $6 in RRs from Transaction #2
Pay 1¢ out of pocket + the cost of any filler items
Get back $3 in RRs to use for other things you need or to save for next week to make your out of pocket cost lower!
Total out of pocket: about $7.00 for $37.31 worth of products
Savings of 81%!
Plus, you have $3 in RRs leftover!

Remember that you cannot use RR on the same product for which you got it. I will cancel and you will not get another one. Also, the reason for a filler is that you cannot have more coupons than items at Walgreen's. RR's count as coupons. So you just buy something really cheap. I have found Walgreen's Tylenol caplets for $.25 or you can find the purse packs of Kleenex for $.39. Something cheap to make sure that you can use all your coupons on the items.
